While we are all enjoying the arrival of GK3, we are also eagerly looking forward to the fourth episode of Gabriel Knight. GK3 Team Members Speculate on GK4.

"Now that Gabriel Knight has faced vampires, werewolves and magic, Jensen says she will pit her intrepid adventurer against the spirit world in GK 4.

"The next case is having to do with ghosts, because ghosts kind of represent regrets. Ghosts come back because they did not love enough or do their duty by their loved ones, so the ghost theme is something I'm looking at." Jensen says she won't begin work on Gabriel Knight 4 for at least another year.

"I believe there will be a GK4, and I have some idea what it will be about. It just may not get started for another year or so. We may be aided by the fact that Havas (Sierra's new owner) is a European company and they expect GK3 to do well in Europe. As for your question about my fiction, in MR and the book I'm working on now I'm dealing more directly with religion and philosophy and the plots are more "realistic", less supernatural/fantasy oriented than the GK series. But Gabriel Knight, as a character, is still the best & most 'real' for me. Perhaps it's the additional element that the actors have brought to the role, but he's just a great character to write."

"Here, I'll deliver you a scoop: Gabriel Knight 4 will most definitely take place in Scotland." (Jane Jensen - Joystick Interview)

"I think GK4 may be about spirits/ghosts but that's about it."
"I love England. It's a good place for a ghost story. ;-)"

Adam Bormann: "Is there a GK4 in your future?"
Jane Jensen: "I hope to continue to write Gabriel Knight stories. I'm not done yet with the characters by far and I love working with a continuing mystery series.
The series is actually at a great place for a writer -- the characters and the general feel of the series have been worked out and now it's a fun, comfortable arena to just play in for me and for the reader. I hope in one format or another I can continue doing GK stories. However, this may be the last game in which I'm so involved with the production end of things -- just because it takes so much time and I'd prefer to work on storytelling."

"There has been a lot of talk about GK4, but all about the story. There is no way of telling what the interface or game type will be like until it gets started (which will be a while, by the way). I would love to see it use the GK3 engine again, it makes gameplay so fun!!!"

"Gabriel Knight 4 on the horizon? That's what insiders are telling me. Now, Gabriel Knight 3 isn't even out yet, and while Jane Jensen doesn't even have a plot for the fourth game in the series, I hear this will most likely be her next project. The Schattenjagers are definitely stepping into the 21st century..."
