Who or what is SIDNEY?
SIDNEY (the Schattenjäger Information Database) is a portable computerprogram used by Grace for research & puzzlesolving in GK3. Sidney was programmed by her brother and is to be considered as the "portable Schattenjägerlibrary".
Not an unnecessary luxury, cause it will help Gabriel and Grace to solve the mystery, and locate the treasure in the Rennes-Le-Château valley.
SIDNEY is also a database of occult information and will analyze almost anything you scan in.
Functions included are Translate, Analyze, Make ID, Suspect & Search.
E-mail is also available, making the communication of this third Gabriel Knight game much easier to believe than the efficiency of the German post office in The Beast Within.

Off course it does not show any of SIDNEY's functions, but it sure gives an idea of what the interface will look like.

Then what about YOUR SIDNEY?
As you no doubt have noticed, this page is modeled after the original SIDNEY.
What does this mean? Well, early in production Ron Spears (former GK3 Art Director), designed SIDNEY with alot of very cool visuals. Unfortunatelly this was all a bit too heavy on the system, so the GK3 Team decided to redesign and simplify the look of SIDNEY.
We are still very fond of the OLD SIDNEY though, so that's why we sticked to it while designing our new site. Not to mention that Sierra stole our idea and modeled the Official GK3 Website after the NEW Sidney ;)
No seriously, we feel honorred!

This site is divided into 12 main sections, each one being further subdivided. Use the Sidneywheel-interface to view a brief description and to get to any of the 12 sections. The frame below Sidney is used to move through the sub-index of each main section. It was our intention to make the site as original and easy to navigate as possible, with the spirit of the original SIDNEY in the back of our heads.

On the originality side of things, we have taken quite a few liberties with images and concepts that are the copyright of Sierra. In this respect we believe almost everything here belongs to them. If by some chance it doesn't (or they don't want to claim it) it belongs to us. Please ask before using anything.

The images and ideas that are not Sierra's are referenced, and were asked for permission to reproduce them. The link to find the original owner should always be nearby, and if you would like to use anything of this nature please ask THEM.

SIDNEY, The Unofficial Gabriel Knight 3 Homepage is of course dedicated to the universe created by Jane Jensen, and we can't wait to see that universe in 3D!!
