Gabriel and Grace are invited to spend a weekend at the château of Prince James Stewart of Albany, a dethroned Scottish royalty.
Against Gabriels will, Grace tags him along to Paris where the family currently resides.

Gabriel and Grace realize that the invitation wasn't a social one.
James and Patrica Stewart are concerned of the safety of their newborn son "Charlie", It seems that the royal heir is suffering from a peculiar form of anemia.
The family has been plagued for generations by mysterious 'nighttime visitors' who have a certain interest in the family's "royal blood".
Locks are broken, guards and dogs fall asleep, nothing stops them...

The very first night Gabriel stands guard over the infant, the boy is kidnapped under Gabriel's own eyes.
Recovered from the shock and horror, Gabriel jumps on his bike and chases them through the streets following the baby snatchers aboard a train, where he is soon to be knocked unconscious!

Rennes-le-Château, Languedoc FRANCE
The trains stops near a little french town named Rennes-le-Château.
Something really strange is going on with this village, that's for sure.
Gabriel decides to stay and snoop around, and soon discovers the royal Stewartheir might be directly linked to the town's mysterious past.

That same day a treasure hunting tour arrives in Rennes-le-Château, where Gabriel meets his old friend detective Mosely from New Orleans.
Mosely says to be on a vacation, then why is he keeping his identity as a cop hidden?
Grace soon joins him at the local hotel and both start their third schattenjägercase.


There are parchments, riddles, a treasuremap, conspiracies, secret societies and ancient bloodlines...
The action spans three days and nights.
To find the prince's son, Gabriel and Grace will have to solve this town's 1,000-year-old enigma, in which a pauper-like parish priest, Bérenger Saunière, figures prominently.
