Who is Gabriel Knight?
Why, he's the main character in Sierrastudio's latest and greatest adventure game:
Gabriel Knight 3: Blood of the Sacred, Blood of the Damned!
Gabriel Knight is a 38 year old, New Orleans born and bred mystery author. His lifelong friend Mosely, his Gran, and his bookstore St. George’s Rare Books are all still in this exciting Louisiana town, but Gabe currently resides in a Castle in Germany called Schloss Ritter. The villagers there refer to him as "the Schattenjäger".
Of course Gabriel Knight is not a real person. He is a character created by Jane Jensen for her Sierra produced Adventure game Sins of the Fathers.
Gabriel's first Adventure, set in New Orleans, introduces us to Gabe’s assistant Grace Nakimura, and the voodoo Murders. In this award winning adventure game Gabriel Knight discovers his heritage while you are pulled into a "virtual mystery novel".
Jane Jensen and Gabe go on to adventure game #2: The Beast Within.
This story takes place in Germany and the mystery is wonderfully entwined in the colorful history of King Ludwig II, his madness and mysterious death, and not to forget his fabulous castle, Neuschwanstein. The tale also involves the Black Madonna, Richard Wagner, and werewolves.
Grace doesn’t stay in New Orleans either, as she evolves into a Schattenjägers executive secretary in this, Gabe’s office of the supernatural.
Where is Gabe now?
Solving his most intriguing case yet, game #3 Blood of the Sacred, Blood of the Damned. Yes! You guessed it! The subject is Vampires, but of course this game was also written by Jane Jensen so don’t expect run of the mill Vampires. No ordinary mystery here either. This third in the series is no exception to Jane’s excellent researching abilities. The location is set in Rennes-le-Château in France, and the history of this area is full of mysteries, secret societies, ancient ruins and best of all treasures.
